What do you like about the lighting industry?
That it is constantly changing. The technology is growing every day and I am grateful to be a part of that!
Who inspires you?
My mom. She raised all of us kids and still balanced her life. It’s incredible.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to enter the lighting industry?
Specifically to the young women out there- DO IT! Don’t be afraid to shine (pun) in this industry.
What’s one thing — either industry-related or not — you have learned in the last month?
To use the PTO when you need it. Even when you have a job you love, you still need to know how to take care of yourself.
What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
I’m the first person in my family to graduate high school and go off to college and grad school.
What’s the last book you read?
The third Sookie Sackhouse Novel… I like to lose myself in fantasy sometimes.
What is your favorite hobby?
Is napping a hobby?
What’s the first concert you ever attended?
Bush and Veruca Salt. I think 7th grade.
What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?
Seattle. (Im looking at you USITT 2024)
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
My mom’s chicken and dumplings (with vegetarian chicken of course)
What’s one item you can’t live without?
My pets.. I know they aren’t an item, but I would be lost without them.
